The Tell Tale Heart Summary

The story begins with the showing of a lady taking care of an old. The old man has a vulture eye that bothers the lady to the point of insanity. The lady then kills the old man, chops him up, and then hides the body pieces in a floorboard. The lady thinks that she has been very clever, until a police officer comes along on the bases that a neighor heard a scream. Everthing is going fine until the lady starts to hear the beating of a heart. The old man's heart. She thinks the police officer can hear it, but he can't. The lady stands it for only so long, until she confesses everytihng to the police officer.
